The name "Lumarr" draws from "luma" (Latin for light) and Hedy Lamarr — the Hollywood icon whose frequency-hopping invention became the foundation for WiFi and Bluetooth.
Her legacy represents everything we stand for: substance over surface, innovation from unexpected places, and the idea that the most important work often happens behind the scenes.

Iain spent years managing complex EV charging infrastructure projects across the UK — working with installation contractors, charge point operators, and distribution network operators.
He saw first-hand how many operational problems were being solved with spreadsheets, emails, and manual processes when software could do it better. Lumarr was founded to fix that.
